Viper Volleyball

We know that many parents who enroll their children in extra activities such as club volleyball stretch their budgets to accomodate their child's interests. To assist with the financial aspects of Viper Volleyball, we have created a fun-based activity similiar to a walk-a-thon or a bowl-a-thon.

In Viper Volleython, every player finds sponsors who pay "X" amount for each point her team scores. Essentially, this will be an in-house Viper tournament where our coaches provide instruction and evaluate their teams while the girls earn money to help off set the cost of the tuition or camp.

Each player will receive 35% of the funds raised (in the form of Viper Bucks).  Viper Volleyball will use the remaining monies (65%) to help cover general expenses such as paying for the fund raiser, coach training and certification, and the purchase of specific training equipment.

Parents get to "practice" being at a tournament by bringing food and beverages for their players. This is a great chance for the paretns to organize before the season starts.

Viper Volleyball is soliciting sponsors such as:tee shirts and other give-a-ways as its part of the fund raiser.

Viper Volleython is scheduled for Dec 13, 2008 at San Antonio College (1300 San Pedro 78212). Pledge forms and additional information were provided at each try-on but are also available on-line under the "parent info" section.

1. Do I have to participate in the Volleython? Yes and No. Every player is expected to show up and play for the 6 hours and to pick up their uniforms. You do not have to raise money or find any donors.

2. I have pre-paid, how does the 35% affect me? We will put 35% of the money you raise as a credit you can use for our summer camp or toward your tuition next season.

3. Who will collect the money? We ask that you help us with the collection of the donations. We will send to anyone who wishes a letter stating our 501(c)(3) status so they can take that letter to their tax advisor.  We ask that the donor write a check to Alamo Sports Foundation and clearly identify for whom they are donating.

4. What prizes are you going to give? We are working on a prize list and will publish that shortly.
